Blockless Initial Node Offering stands to upset the existing Web3 power dynamic, extending the ownership of key project infrastructure to the community members while advocating a fairer token distribution method.

In the context of Web3, one envisions a world of decentralization, akin to the initial conception of Bitcoin. It echoes the ethos of democratizing power, endowing every participant with an equal voice. It’s a vision of a digital space where no central authority overshadows the power of the individual. But, the grim reality of the current Web3 is a far cry from this ideal.

Where did we go wrong? The roots of the problem are steeped in an almost imperceptible shift towards centralization and appropriation.

In the early stages of Web3, an unspoken compromise was made. Control over critical infrastructure started to reside solely in the hands of founding teams. This resulted in a community feeling increasingly alienated, with the balance of power heavily tipped in favor of project teams and venture capitalists.

In July 2021, the Uniswap team removed many assets on the Uniswap web page and community input were largely neglected

Moreover, the system of token distribution, which ideally should reflect the contributions of the individuals, became murky due to the inefficiencies in infrastructure. Projects started to resort to mechanisms like airdrops and transaction count-based contribution measurements. This lowered the bar for airdrop hunters, who might not necessarily have the best interests of the project at heart, leading to a situation where both the project teams and the community are left in a losing position.

To bring about a Web3 that is reminiscent of the original vision of Bitcoin, it’s vital to alter this power structure. The power must be stripped from the hands of founders, venture capitalists, and airdrop hunters and returned to its rightful owners — the individuals and communities.

This is where the Blockless Initial Node Offering comes into the picture.

Blockless introduces an innovative solution that allows community members to assume the mantle of ownership and control over critical project infrastructure. Leveraging the Blockless Protocol, individuals are empowered to run both frontend and backend operations securely on their own devices. The operations encompass WASM serverless functions and any x86 architecture programs, all safely operated within a sandboxed environment.

By aligning with projects that believe in fair token distribution, we aim to establish an equilibrium within the Web3 space. This was not feasible before due to a lack of fundamental infrastructure to support versatile, community-led computing.

Adopting the Blockless Initial Node Offering doesn’t merely provide projects with a more robust, engaged, and responsive community, but also equips them with a resilient, global infrastructure that’s resistant to regulatory instability and is verifiable by default. It’s a significant step towards fostering a healthier, more decentralized Web3 environment.

Join us as we, at Blockless, build towards a more equitable Web3 era. It’s time for true decentralization and empowerment, and it starts here. Let’s create a Web3 that benefits many, not just a privileged few. This is the spirit of the Web3 we originally asked for, a spirit not too dissimilar to that of Bitcoin.
